Core Advantages of 45# Steel: As a high-quality medium-carbon structural steel, 45# steel combines high strength with good toughness. It has a tensile strength of 570-700MPa and a hardness of 170-210HB, enabling it to stably withstand periodic loads and torque impacts during robotic drive operations. In addition, it has excellent machinability. After heat treatment, its surface hardness can be further improved (up to HRC40-50) while maintaining core toughness, balancing wear resistance and fatigue resistance. Moreover, the material cost is moderate, making it suitable for mass production needs.
Performance of 45# Steel in Adaptation to CNC Machining: 45# steel has a uniform internal structure, laying a good foundation for CNC precision machining. It has excellent cutting performance, can remain stable during high-speed cutting, reduce tool wear, and ensure processing efficiency. With the help of CNC multi-axis linkage technology, complex tooth profiles, stepped shaft structures and high-precision mating surfaces of 45# steel gear shafts can be accurately processed, achieving a dimensional tolerance of ±0.002mm and a surface roughness below Ra0.8μm. During processing, 45# steel is not easily deformed, which can effectively control the impact of thermal deformation on precision. Combined with an online detection system, it can realize the whole process of precision control from blank to finished product, meeting the strict requirements of robotic drive components for transmission precision and consistency.
